Refund and cancellation policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 15 September 2026 · MedCo Abroad is a trading name of Advargo Limited

This policy forms part of our Terms of use. Payments are made to and refunded by Advargo Limited (trading as MedCo Abroad). Where your Quote states different terms, the Quote applies.

1. Before you accept a Quote

No payment is taken while we obtain opinions and prepare your Quote. There is nothing to refund.

2. Deposit

On accepting a Quote you pay a deposit stated in the Quote (typically 10–20% of the Package price). The deposit lets us issue the hospital invitation letter, secure your treatment date and begin bookings.

3. If you cancel

Notice before scheduled travel dateRefund of amounts paid
More than 30 daysFull refund, less non-refundable third-party costs already incurred (e.g. issued flight tickets, non-refundable hotel rates), itemised to you
15–30 daysRefund less 50% of the deposit and non-refundable third-party costs
8–14 daysRefund less 100% of the deposit and non-refundable third-party costs
7 days or less, or no-showDeposit and any Provider charges for reserved theatre time or pre-admission tests are not refundable; other balances refunded less non-refundable costs

Where you cancel within 14 days of accepting a Quote (your statutory cancellation period as a consumer), you pay only for Services performed and non-refundable third-party costs incurred up to the date of cancellation; any deposit above that amount is refunded.

4. If the Provider declines or changes treatment

If, after assessing you in person, the Provider concludes the treatment is not clinically appropriate and no alternative is agreed, the full Package price is refunded. Travel and accommodation are refunded to the extent the suppliers refund them; we will have recommended refundable options where available. Our MedCo service fee is refunded in full in this case.

5. If your visa is refused

On proof of refusal, all amounts are refunded less non-refundable third-party costs. We recommend not booking non-refundable flights until your visa is granted; we will tell you when it is.

6. If we cancel

If we or the Provider cannot deliver the Package (for example the Provider withdraws or the destination becomes unsafe to travel), we offer an equivalent alternative or a full refund of all amounts paid, including our fee.

7. Events outside anyone's control

If travel becomes impossible due to events outside your and our control (airspace closure, epidemic restrictions, natural disaster), we refund all amounts that suppliers and Providers return to us and our own fee, and help you claim the balance from your travel insurance.

8. Changes to treatment after arrival

If the Provider recommends a different or additional treatment, you will receive a revised price in writing before proceeding. If you decline, clause 4 applies to the original Package.

9. Complications cover

Optional complications cover is provided by a third-party insurer under its own policy terms; premiums are non-refundable once cover starts.

10. How refunds are paid

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of the refund being agreed. Currency differences and bank charges are outside our control. Refunds requested by a third party on your behalf require your written authority.

11. Complaints

If you disagree with a refund decision, email care@medcoabroad.com. We respond within 14 days.
